Born on September 6, 1956, in Târgu Frumos, Iași, he graduated from the Botoșani Pedagogical High School.
He began his career as a teacher and subsequently spent 28 years working as an educator at the Botoșani Penitentiary;
there, he coordinated a painting workshop and held numerous exhibitions featuring both his own work and that of his students.
He instilled a love for art in over 100 individuals, helping them reintegrate into society much more easily after completing their sentences.
